Now don't get me wrong, I am ever so thankful for my little bundle of joy, but this whole sleep thing is throwing me for a loop! Some nights three hours will pass, others an hour and a half. So someone please pass on the secret! Being a "New Mom" is definitely an adjustment. Tomorrow will be his one month birthday! I can hardly believe it! I feel so blessed, to have such a beautiful healthy baby to raise. Little Crew was four weeks early, yet as close to perfect as he could have been. What an opportunity we have as women to be mothers. I wouldn't trade it for the world!
I love Crew's adorable facial expressions. He is beautiful! Something that helped me was a book called babywise... it helped me get William on a pretty good routine. The first 9 weeks are the hardest with sleep, but it will get better... and you're right, it is totally worth it. Good luck... you should be able to find the book for a good price on Amazon or something. If you want more details on a sleep routine just shoot me an email knead24@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHe is so stinkin cute! Your are so right, we are so blessed to be mothers. I hope Crew is sleeping better. I found that if I fed Linkin in the dark before bed that really helped. I also somewhat followed babywise but you have to adjust to meet your needs. One thing I am so happy we did was get Linkin on a schedule. Putting him down at the same time every night is a huge benefit when they get a little older. Your such a cute mom!!
ReplyDeleteHe is a doll Al! I love love love babywise. Wake them from their nap to feed them not feed them to get them to sleep. Make sure they feed a full feeding and are awake for a little bit before you put him to bed. This also seems to be key. They need to learn to fall asleep by themselves not nursing to sleep. Eat-wake-sleep schedule is babywise's theme. I love it. I found tons of books at the DI. I know he is a lot older now but it still works and helps as they grow and there are other books from 5-18 months and up to teenage. Good luck. I hope it's all working out for you. I love to talk baby and schedules so ask me anytime!
